Rodney Boyd
Senior Analyst
Rodney Boyd is a Senior Analyst in CPI’s climate finance work stream. His work focuses on the role of development banks in financing mitigation infrastructure such as renewable energy and energy efficiency. Prior to joining CPI, Rodney was at the Grantham Research Institute/London School of Economics where he was a policy analyst and advisor to Lord Professor Nicholas Stern and worked on the Paris COP21 agenda and analyses of country commitments and the economics of low-carbon technologies. He also worked as an Energy and Carbon Analyst with National Grid, one of the world’s largest utilities, and a Senior Research Analyst with IDEAcarbon providing carbon market intelligence and advice . In addition, Rodney has provided policy analyses and commentary on a wide range of topics covering renewable energy and climate economics. Rodney attended the University of Edinburgh where he received a BSc (Honors) in Mathematics and a MSc (First Class with Distinction) in Sustainable Energy Systems. He speaks English, Italian and some German.
