Arthur Bragança is a Senior Analyst for Climate Policy Initiative’s office based in Brazil. Arthur holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a B.A. in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). During his Ph.D. studies, he spent one year as a visiting scholar at Harvard University. At CPI, his research focuses on sustainable agriculture. He is currently working on projects investigating the dynamics of agricultural productivity in Brazil and its relationship with agricultural practices, climate, credit, and technology adoption. Previously, he worked on projects examining the economic and environmental consequences of the expansion of large-scale agriculture in different regions of the Cerrado and the Amazon biomes.
