Dimitri Szerman

Senior Analyst

Dimitri Szerman is a Senior Analyst in CPI’s Brazil office. He focuses on change in land use and its interactions with agriculture and infrastructure. Dimitri was a leading contributor to Production and Protection in Brazil, as well as a project that evaluated a wind power program in Brazil. He is currently involved in projects that use remote sensing data to quantify the impacts of electrification and hydropower dams on agriculture and forest change. Dimitri received a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
