Dimitri Szerman

Senior Analyst

Dimitri Szerman is a Senior Analyst in CPI’s Brazil office. He currently works on evaluating change in land use and its interactions with agriculture and infrastructure. Some of his current projects use randomized controlled trial (RCT) to evaluate agricultural and environmental policies. Dimitri also investigates determinants of agricultural productivity and compliance with environmental regulations; links between infrastructure, land use and environmental outcomes; and the adoption of technology. Dimitri received a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
