Head of Communications, Energy Finance
Felicity is a strategic communications professional with senior experience of successful campaigns, stakeholder engagement and reputation management with the aim of influencing investors, policymakers and industry. After working as a journalist at the Guardian, she covered energy policy and finance from San Francisco for three years. Since her return to the UK, she has switched sides of the news desk to help organisations and businesses communicate the value of complex products or services, most recently on the Department for Transport smart ticketing programme and before that, on the Marine Stewardship Council’s strategic communications programme.
Felicity has led the communications programme for CPI’s Energy Finance team since June 2016 and has led the launch of flagship publications, including Flexibility, the path to low-carbon, low-cost electricity grids working closely with the Energy Transitions Commission, and the Beyond YieldCos series commissioned by the Rockefeller Foundation. In 2017, she also led CPI Energy Finance’s market design outreach programme, which included the publication of a new design for a dual electricity market that would incentivise investment in flexible technologies and inclusion in Eurelectric’s Market Design 2050 programme.
