Padraig Oliver is a Manager at CPI, based in London. He leads the climate finance tracking workstream including the development of the Global Landscape of Climate Finance series, working with partners such as the UNFCCC, IEA, OECD, development finance institutions and institutional investors. His expertise lies in scaling up climate finance flows through capital markets and the financial system. He has also been involved in CPI’s Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, leading the development of Climate Investor One and the Water Financing Facility.
Before joining CPI, Padraig worked for Climate Bonds Initiative and led the technical work on establishing the Climate Bond Standard and Certification Scheme; the Bonds and Climate Change: State of the Market report series; and outlining policy frameworks for growing green bond markets in China. He has also worked in China for three years on climate policy, CDM and clean energy financing.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
