Priscila Z. Souza

Senior Analyst

Priscila Souza holds a Ph.D., an M.Phil. and an M.A. in Economics from Yale University, an M.A. in Economics from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (EPGE/FGV-RJ) and a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Before joining CPI, she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Toulouse School of Economics from 2011 to 2014, deputy-director at Arqade (Advanced Research in Quantitative Applied Development Economics) from 2012 to 2014 and a member of IAST (Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse) from 2013 to 2014. Previously, she worked as an economist in the Planning Area of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES). Her main research areas are Development Economics and Labor Economics. She has worked on the analysis of public policies, non-market economic exchanges, education, philanthropy and informal economy. At CPI, she is working on projects about land use, large rural investments, rural credit and public policy.
