Position Summary

CPI offers a challenging environment that requires independent thinking, collaboration, and pragmatic problem solving. The Senior Program Associate will support deliverables that advance strategic reforms and breakthrough financial instruments, and business models related to the international financial architecture (IFA) to effectively channel existing and additional climate finance to emerging markets, with a focus on Southern Africa but also other counties and regions in Africa. For more information on CPI recent work on IFA, please see this link.

Under the supervision and guidance of CPI’s Head of South Africa office the Senior Program Associate will undertake robust and careful analysis, drawing on a blend of analytical skills from multiple disciplines, including macroeconomics, public policy, finance, and international development, to support initiatives and publications that promote significant reforms and groundbreaking financial tools. The Senior Program Associate will work in close cooperation with a range of domestic and international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with CPI teams across the globe.
