Joyce Lin is an Analyst at CPI based in Washington, D.C. At CPI, she supports the development of innovative finance solutions such as the Parametric Insurance and Trust Fund for Paramos under CPI’s Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. She also supports efforts to create enabling policy environments for climate action, such as assisting the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) in assessing barriers to carbon market development in South Africa through the FiCS Lab Incubator. Joyce is also co-authoring a report on the climate blended finance landscape in Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines under the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility Learning Hub.

Prior to joining CPI, Joyce led the data collection effort to track and quantify China’s total overseas development finance portfolio at AidData, an international development research lab. Additionally, she consulted for Nuru on improving smallholders’ livelihoods in Western Kenya, and advised Isso, a shrimp restaurant chain in Sri Lanka, on developing a sustainability strategy. Joyce also supported the development of a novel consumer carbon footprint calculator for Commons, a consumer-facing climate action app.

Joyce holds a MA in International Policy and MS in Environment and Resources from Stanford University, as well as a BA in International Affairs and Economics from George Washington University.
