A major shift is underway in global energy markets. Energy transition has dominated the conversation across the energy and trading value chain and continues to command attention. A perfect storm has developed where in the race to tackle climate change, dozens of the world’s biggest economies have adopted targets for net-zero emissions by 2050 and are cutting fossil fuels and boosting clean energies. Big investment trends are now pointing to enabling technologies for alternative fuels to do the heavy lifting for the next stage of the transition. Meanwhile, carbon prices are soaring, and energy companies are recalibrating their strategies and business models for a net-zero world with a new sense of urgency.

On March 30-31, the Asia Energy Transition Conference organized by S&P Global will virtually host leading energy companies in the region to discuss the top challenges and risk response strategies to address the rapid pace and scale of the energy transition.
