As part of a capacity building program under Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP), Climate Policy Initiative’s Indonesia team, in collaboration with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (“SMI”), hosted a two-day training titled, “Introduction to Energy Efficiency Projects: Key Technologies and Investment Profiles,” at R Hotel Rancamaya, Bogor on 19 – 20 March 2019. K-CEP aims to assist SMI with analytical and technical support to increase their investment in clean and efficient cooling systems.

Muhammad Oryza, Head of Enterprise Risk Management, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur, and Tiza Mafira, Associate Director, CPI commenced the session with a welcome address. In a presentation, Devi Laksmi, Head of Program Planning and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, described the potential investment required for energy conservation in Indonesia from energy management activities and implementation of Investment Grade Auditor for industrial and property sectors. On day two, Ariz Ika Nugrahanto from EnerCoss presented a session on energy efficiency for non-engineers, he explained energy efficiency in different technologies across industries, including cooling systems, heating systems, and compressed air systems.

Darwin Trisna, Director of Project Financing and Advisory Services for PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur, concluded the session with closing remarks and expressed his hope for SMI to boost energy efficiency investments in the future.
