Globally, green bonds have emerged as a form of proactive sustainable investing for investors. Access to low-cost capital at scale is critical for cities to realize low-carbon infrastructure and climate-resilient growth. The green bonds market and its deep pool of investors can offer local governments access to this low-cost capital.
