Lucas Afflalo is an Analyst at CPI/PUC-Rio, focusing on Financial Instruments. He researches the impact of rural credit and how the design of these policies can be improved to stimulate the development of family farming and reduce deforestation.
Lucas is currently completing his master’s degree in Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where he also holds an undergraduate degree in Economics.
Before joining CPI, he was a research assistant at the Federal University of Rio, where he helped study how Brazil’s largest companies have progressed in financial indicators over time. Additionally, he worked in the incentives and commissions department at IBM, where he assisted sales representatives with their financial benefits.
