CPI’s India Director, Dr. Gireesh Shrimali and USICEF Director, Mr. Dhruba Purkayastha hosted a session at the India Energy Access Summit on Tuesday, February 13th at 03:00 PM. The session was titled, “Enabling India’s Mainstream Financing for scaling up DRE”.

The session discussed the practical challenges and solutions for banks in the decentralized renewable energy space, for lending in India, by facilitating dialogue between financial institutions, potential investors, and donor organizations, on inventive means of mobilizing and de-risking long-term enterprise finance.

The third India Energy Access Summit aims to bring together policymakers, investors, and businesses in the decentralized renewable energy (DRE) space to identify opportunities, challenges, and successes in India’s fast-changing energy landscape.
