Dhruba Purkayastha, Director of US-India Clean Energy Finance (USICEF) will be a part of the “India-UK Green Finance Working Group discussion” on Monday, July 16 in London.
The roundtable will be an opportunity to get a wider and joint view on some of the topics like the terms of reference of the Joint Working Group (JWG) which will need to be developed, key pillars of its operational strategy, key suggested areas of action and milestones, for scaling up domestic and international flow of capital into low carbon future for India in the short and medium term . The JWG will also provide specific inputs for the Economy and Financial Dialogue between India and the UK to be held later this year.
This initiative is supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and facilitated by Climate Bonds Initiative with which FICCI has established the Indian Green Bonds Council – a platform for market players to convene for exchange of ideas on scaling up green bond issuances in multiple sectors in India and channel both international and domestic capital flows into green projects and investments.
