Climate Policy Initiative, along with the EU REDD Facility and UNDP, will share innovative solutions and tools for scaling up investments in sustainable land use on June 28, 2018, during an event in the margins of the Oslo Tropical Forest Forum.
CPI’s Dr. Angela Falconer will be on hand to present a land use finance mapping toolbox, which CPI is currently developing with the EU REDD Facility, which will enable countries and their technical partners to better understand the nature and volume of investments affecting forests at national and sub-national levels.
Speakers at the event will address the following questions pertaining to unlocking finance for sustainable land use:
- What are the main financing gaps, opportunities, and priorities?
- How to align unsustainable investments to forest and climate objectives?
- How much money has been spent on reducing deforestation over time?
