Shubhashis Dey brings over 20 years of expertise in climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience across diverse sectors and regions.  He has served on numerous high-level committees, including his current role as a member of SEBI’s ESG advisory committee, the Advisory Committee for the Mitigation Action Facility, the Working Group on Climate Finance, and the Steering Committee for the India Climate & Energy Modelling Forum at NITI Aayog. He has been a member of the Task Force for Sustainable Finance constituted by Department of Economic Affairs and the Indian Finance Minister’s Pre-Budget Committee on Infrastructure, Energy, and Climate Change. He is currently mentoring a social impact firm – Solutions for Sustainable Living (SoSuL) committed to equipping philanthropies, businesses, and policymakers with research-driven climate solutions.

Shubhashis is a Certified Energy Auditor and Manager, a 2023 Canberra Fellow with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, a SABIT alumni from the U.S. Department of Commerce, and was named Energy Innovator of the Year for Asia by the Association of Energy Engineers. He has played a key role in shaping India’s Net Zero pledge, the India Cooling Action Plan, the development of a National Carbon Market, the Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities, and the Green Hydrogen Mission, among other initiatives.
