Wagner Oliveira is a Senior Analyst at CPI/PUC-Rio, focusing on Financial Instruments, where he investigates the impact of rural credit and insurance policies and and how to improve their design to incorporate sustainability criteria.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EPGE), a master’s degree in Economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU).
Prior to joining CPI/PUC-Rio, he worked as a researcher at Fundação Getulio Vargas – at the Center for Empirical Studies in Economics (FGV CEEE) and the Department of Public Policy Analysis (FGV DAPP). He also worked at the International Migration Observatory at the University of Brasília (OBMigra/UnB).
