Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is pleased to announce that its Global Managing Director, Dr. Barbara Buchner, has been appointed to the 2021-2022 Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), a committee mandated by Congress under EXIM’s Charter. Dr. Buchner will be one of two committee members representing business opportunities in climate and the environment. Other members of the 16-person Advisory Committee represent diverse interest from textiles to agriculture to finance.

Energy transition is mentioned as a key priority, and opportunity, in EXIM’s official press release announcing the new Advisory Committee: EXIM Board of Directors Appoints Leadership and Membership of 2021-2022 Advisory Committee.

A sought-after advisor on international policy to optimize sustainable economies, Dr. Buchner serves on several additional advisory boards including the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition and the One Planet Lab, created by President Macron.
