Alan Leal is a senior analyst at CPI/PUC-RIO in the Financial Instruments and Sustainable Agriculture sector.
Alan is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). His research focuses on land use change, deforestation and international trade. He holds a master’s degree in economics at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a bachelor’s degree in economics at Federal University of Viçosa (UFV).
Before CPI/PUC-RIO, Alan Leal worked on several consulting jobs at Institute of Economic Research Foundation (FIPE), Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), and as climate policy analyst at the Talanoa Institute.
