Anna Cárcamo is a Brazilian lawyer, with a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (PUC-Rio), with an emphasis in Environmental and Constitutional Law, and a minor in International Politics. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Environment, in which she focused on international climate policy and environmental justice. She was previously a Fellow at the United Nations University (UNU) and the secretariat of the Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC). She was also a legal advisor at International Rivers in Brazil and a researcher at the Study Group on Law, Environment and Justice in the Anthropocene (JUMA) of PUC-Rio. Anna is part of the network of Latin America American Lawyers for Mobilizing Climate Action (LACLIMA), in which she is mentor of the WG on the international climate change regime and integrates its steering committee. At CPI, Anna is a Legal Analyst in the Law and Governance team. She is researching litigation against ilegal land-grabbing in the Amazon and a range of other subjects, from energy to climate finance.
