Daniela Álvarez Cobos is a Communications Associate at Climate Policy Initiative, based in Mexico City. She supports CPI’s growing Innovative Finance work, which incubates new ideas that mobilize private capital to address climate change. Her role focuses on two programs: the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance and the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility. Daniela leverages a wide range of communications tools to ensure the visibility of these programs to entrepreneurs, investors, stakeholders, and partners who are dedicated to accelerating finance for low-carbon and climate-resilient economies globally.

Prior to joining CPI, Daniela managed climate communications and projects at the British Embassy in Mexico, including the design and implementation of educational initiatives related to green finance and sustainable mobility. She also advised on the Prosperity Fund’s Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Programme and supported UK-Mexico´s bilateral trade relation as a Trade Policy Officer.

Daniela holds an MSc in International Business with Law from Salford University and a BSocSc in Politics and International Relations from The University of Manchester.
