Gabriel Mathias is a Financial Modeling Analyst at CPI Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, where he designs and evaluates innovative financial instruments to mobilize private capital for climate mitigation and adaptation in Brazil. His work focuses on fixed income/equity modeling, carbon markets, and sustainable land-use finance, with expertise in bridging ESG principles with investable solutions for renewable energy and regenerative agriculture.
Before joining CPI, Gabriel led ESG integration and impact investing at Aqua Capital, a private equity firm, where he developed sustainability frameworks for agribusiness portfolios, contributing to the firm’s recognition at the 2024 PRI Awards and Private Equity Wire ESG AAA Global Awards. Earlier, he structured project finance models for solar energy at Canadian Solar.
Gabriel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP) and has expertise in climate finance, financial modeling, ESG investing, carbon markets, and sustainable agribusiness.
