Sanjoy Banerjee is an Advisor to Center for Sustainable Finance at CPI’s Delhi Office, where he supports the sustainable finance team in capacity building for sustainable finance, building partnerships with non-profit research Institutions and industry for reducing climate-related financial risks and for furthering the cause of transition finance. With over 44 years of experience across Engineering. Technology and Financial services he blends understanding of industry challenges with financial market needs to develop holistic financing approaches for climate finance.

He has worked with Organization like Larsen & Toubro Limited, SRF finance limited (subsequently acquired by GE  Capital), established and headed JV in financial between Usha Martin Group and Sumitomo Corporation Japan ( Summit Usha Martin Finance Limited)  as the Managing Director and worked with ICRA Online Limited as the Executive Director entrusted with the Mutual Fund analytics and Technology Solution division.

Since 2012, he has been a  Management Consultant and a Trainer empaneled with CRISIL Limited, IFC ( as a mortgage specialist )  and has, over the years, trained thousands of banking and NBFC professionals in retail and Corporate credit risk assessment and retail loan structuring.

Sanjoy holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a postgraduate certificate in General Management from IIM Calcutta.
