Shreya Bansal is an Analyst at CPI, based in San Francisco. She drives impactful research on climate resilience and adaptation projects, currently for a report on the state of Climate Adaptation Finance in Small Island Developing States. She previously interned at CPI under the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance where she contributed to accelerating urban climate finance through data analysis and research. Her areas of expertise include sustainable development, data visualization, and emerging markets.

Prior to CPI, Shreya worked with the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at University of Pennsylvania as a research assistant to Dr. Sanya Carley, on various energy justice projects. Elevated interest in the urban analysis field led her to co-found Urban Tech Club where she served as the president focusing on building an urban spatial technology platform for the school. Her experience also includes working at the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Mumbai in their sustainable cities and transport team where she worked on various urban development projects with municipal authorities around the Mumbai Climate Action Plan.

She holds a Master’s degree in City Planning with a specialization in geospatial analysis from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from Mumbai University.
