Taarika is an analyst at CPI, based in Washington, D.C., where she works on projects within the International Financial Architecture (IFA) and adaptation workstream.

Prior to joining CPI, her research and professional experience has focused on financing urban climate adaptation infrastructure. While at CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), she engaged with municipal governments in North America to encourage climate disclosures and identified gaps in financing and regulatory frameworks to implement sustainable infrastructure projects globally.

Her organization and analysis of disclosure data contributed to CDP’s 2023 Annual Global Infrastructure Snapshot. She worked with the World Bank on an advisory and technical assistance project to enhance green competitiveness across priority sectors in Ethiopia. In this role, she contributed to research, report writing and collaborated with Ethiopian government agencies and private sector experts.

She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Liberal Arts & Humanities with a major in Economics from O.P. Jindal Global University, and an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy specializing in International Development and Environmental Policy from The Fletcher School, Tufts University.
