On 3 October, Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) together with Legal Consultant Ginting  & Reksodiputro (Allen & Overy) organized an in-house training activity to PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) (SMI) as a part of technical assistance project. The training titled “Legal and Commercial Aspects of Renewable Energy Project Financing in Indonesia” was attended by 27  participants from SMI’s commercial, risk, legal departments.

The training was held in PT SMI’s office and delivered by legal consultant from Allen & Overy. The training consisted of 4 sessions – Session 1: commercial aspects of renewable energy projects, Session 2: legal framework for renewable energy development in Indonesia, Session 3: key agreements for renewable energy projects, Session 4: case studies (SIDRAP wind farm and Taiwan off-shore wind program). The training aims to give an understanding of legal aspects (including regulatory framework and key agreements) and commercial aspects (including financing structure) of renewable energy projects in Indonesia.
