Akshay Nambiar is a Senior Analyst with the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility at CPI, based in Washington, D.C. Akshay supports the program’s portfolio management and market acceleration efforts and enables the strategic implementation of acceleration support.
Prior to joining CPI, Akshay served as a Program Manager for the ASPIRe accelerator program at Ashoka – Innovators for the Public. He supported social entrepreneurs in amplifying and scaling their impact to millions using Societal Platform Thinking-enabled digital infrastructure while orchestrating ecosystems for thought leadership and mobilizing capital. Prior to joining Ashoka, he held various leadership roles at AIESEC – the world’s largest youth-run leadership development organization. In his final role as the Global Vice President for Finance and Governance (CFO), he led the financing and implementation of SDG-based projects in over 119 countries and territories where AIESEC mobilizes youth leadership.
He has worked with civil society, local governments, and private actors across 22 countries to implement SDG-based projects to amplify awareness and actions towards the UN’s 2030 agenda. Akshay is passionate about the crossroads of climate finance, public-private policy design, and impactful youth leadership for building a just and impactful climate transition.
Akshay holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from SRM University.
