The recent UN IPCC 1.5 degree report highlighted the need for a $2.4 trillion investment annually in clean energy through 2035 to limit our global average temperature increase within 1.5 degrees and stave off some of the most catastrophic damage from climate change. However, the gap between the current finance flow into climate mitigation technology and the level of finance flow needed remains enormous.
CPI Manager, Valerio Micale will moderate a panel discussion during this event that will bring together government and industry actors to discuss how public and private sector actors can work in concert to mobilize greater investments into early-stage technologies.
The panelists will include Christopher Flensborg, Head of Climate & Sustainable Finance at SEB, Luca De Lorenzo, Head of Sustainability & Mandate at the Nordic Investment Bank, Matt Scott from BEIS, and Pasi Kyckling, Stora Enso’s SVP Group Treasury.
