The focus of the Dialogue Forum will be on one of the five key elements of Germany’s G7 Presidency in 2022, “Sustainable investments in a better future.” This event will be an opportunity to discuss how to tap private funding and expertise for sustainable infrastructure more effectively, which is one of the key challenges to be addressed by the G7 in closing the global infrastructure funding gap.
CPI Director Dharshan Wignarajah will participate in a session at 14:45 CET on: The private sector view – success stories, obstacles to investment and need for action. Other speakers include:

- Matthias Krämer, Bundesverband der deutschen Industrie (BDI), Head of Department External Economic Policy, B7 Sherpa
- James Mittell, Director Actis and Investment Manager, Lekela Power
The event will be held at the premises of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and
Development (BMZ) in Berlin, which is coordinating Germany’s contribution to the G7 Partnership for Infrastructure and Investment with other relevant federal ministries.
