On June 26, 2018 CPI’s Dhruba Purkayastha attended Renewable Watch’s 11th annual conference on “Solar Power in India” in New Delhi, where he contributed to a panel discussion on “The New Solar Deal: Beyond Traditional Financing”.

Dhruba, director of CPI’s US-India Clean Energy Finance program, was part of a panel of leading financiers and energy finance experts that discussed:

• The energy sector from a sustainable, clean energy perspective
• How the risks of payment security and power off take can be addressed
• The emerging platforms for the financing of rooftop and commercial solar plants
• The ability to meet the future financing requirements for the sector
