Jide Olutoke is an Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative, based in Washington, DC. He focuses on developing innovative financial mechanisms for energy transitions, carbon credits, agriculture and preservation of high integrity forests. Working on CPI’s Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (The Lab), he is supporting the High Integrity Forestry effort to unlock finance for high integrity forests preservation. Jide is also supporting the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility to develop financial instruments that mobilizes private capital for small holder farmers and climate action in developing countries.
Prior to CPI, Jide worked as an investment banking associate in Lagos Nigeria and a graduate research associate at James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke University. He also consulted for World Resources Institute (WRI) on Adaptation Financing. Jide holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master’s degree in Energy and Environment Policy from Duke University.
