Liz Kirk is a Senior Manager at Climate Policy Initiative, based in London. She leads CPI UK’s work on agrifood systems and climate finance and CPI’s function as Secretariat of the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC), a global coalition driving investment in sustainable agriculture and food systems. CLIC works to accelerate and scale finance for low-carbon, climate-resilience, and nature-positive agriculture and food systems by developing an investible pipeline of sustainable agribusinesses, bringing impact investors together on financial innovation and shared tools, and producing high-quality knowledge publications on agrifood systems.

Liz has over twenty years’ experience working on food systems and climate in international development across the public, private, and philanthropic sectors. She has worked with the UK government’s Foreign, Common, and Development Office (FCDO) leading agriculture and food systems portfolios, with a focus on increasing investment in early-stage agri-SMEs and integrating climate and nutrition agendas into food system investments in Africa and Asia. More recently, she held senior advisory posts on agriculture at the Tony Blair Institute, advising teams embedded in over 20 governments across Africa, and was the Director of Knowledge and Engagement at the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU), based at the World Resources Institute (WRI). She has also worked in the international NGO sector as Team Leader of Oxfam GB’s Agriculture and Natural Resource Unit.
