Sarah Barden is a Senior Communications Associate at CPI. She provides strategic guidance to the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (the Lab), the Catalytic Climate Finance Facility (CC Facility) and the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC)—managing media relations, and compiling compelling content to showcase the Initiative’s scope to address some of the worst impacts of climate change.
Prior to joining CPI, Sarah was a Multimedia Communications Consultant specializing in humanitarian development with the World Bank Group and United Nations. She was primarily employed by the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), advocating for individuals in situations of poverty and hunger to live more sustainably. She covered the world’s evolving food and agriculture systems, the global climate crisis, and subsequent biodiversity loss extensively.
Sarah is a Broadcast Journalist by trade and has reported on news and current affairs for Al Jazeera English (AJE), BBC World News and Thomson Reuters. She holds an MA in Journalism and International Relations from City University, London, and both a BA and MA in languages and literature from King’s College, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
