Sofia Chancey is Director of Operations for Climate Policy Initiative. Sofia leads our global team of operations professionals and, as part of CPI’s leadership team, is helping to drive organizational strategy to support CPI strategic objectives and future growth.

Sofia is an accomplished executive with 25+ years of experience in strategy, operations, and technology leadership in healthcare, telecommunications, and state government. Leveraging extensive experience as a liaison between technology and business leaders, she has assisted organisations in defining, delivering, and operating complex change programs. She has delivered programs such as business and technology transformations, people and talent strategy, digital strategy, and customer experience. Sofia has led distributed teams across the Australia, Canada, Europe, India, the Philippines, and the United States.

Prior to joining CPI, Sofia co-founded Intune Collective, a strategy and management consultancy and served as Head of Strategy and Operations. Prior to these roles, Sofia was a Managing Director with Accenture for over 21 years in the U.S. and Australia. Sofia also co-founded Get Your Frock On! in 2010, a non-profit formed to raise awareness of, and funds for, Ovarian Cancer Research, donating 100% of funds raised to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation of Australia. Sofia served as President until 2016.

Sofia started her career as a caregiver in Cardiovascular Intensive Care at the Order of St, Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois – the 4th largest medical center in Illinois and the area’s only level 1 trauma center.
